Operations Analyst - Collateral

Operations Analyst - London - Contract role - ASAP start date - Negotiable rates

Bank of America Merrill Lynch based in London is currently seeking a Operations Analyst to join their Collateral Margin Management division.

Overview:

The primary function of the Collateral Margin Management team is a critical risk mitigation function, therefore responsible for safeguarding the Bank's credit and reputational risk via the management of collateralised trading relationships.

The team works closely with a number of key internal stakeholders (ranging from Collateral Optimisation to Legal and Compliance) whereby responsibilities include managing the margin call process.

Key skills for a Operations Analyst:

* Experience of working in the Financial Services/Investment Banking industry or equivalent
* Industry experience of working within a Operations Team
* Previous experience of working in Collateral Management or equivalent.
* Some familiarity of the OTD Derivatives life cycle.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Thorough understanding of the collateral governance and control environment.
* Ability to engage with global peers to ensure best practice is adopted at all times.

Responsibilities of a Operations Analyst:

* Oversee the bilateral settlement of Interest payable and receivables providing a high level of client service.
* Oversee the investigation and resolution of interest differences; involving interaction with various internal areas.
* Willingness to quickly develop the role via IT and process reengineering to improve control, automation and levels of sophistication.
