Operational Analyst (SC)

Security cleared Operational Analyst required by a leading public sector client in Portsmouth

To provide core C4ISR analysis to identify where opportunities exist to address risks or produce cost-efficiencies in MoDs C4ISR portfolio. You will be required to support this programme on a variety of tasks including identification of risks and opportunities option development, balance of investment and implications. You will be expected to draw on your analysis skills to support the work package leads in delivering key milestones

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the C4ISR Decision Support & Experimentation Research Programme.
- Provide assistance to the Work Package leads and deliver tasks to time, cost and quality - Liaise with different departments across external companies.
- Exploit C4ISR S&T opportunities across MoD, industry and academia.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential:

- Some experience of applying quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to solve complex problems eg benefits analysis, simulation modelling, wargaming.
- Communication skills, such as experience of presenting to a range of military and civilian audiences.
- Proven record as a good team player
- Report writing skills
- Experience in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software

Desirable:

- Concept development, experimentation and assessment experience
- Requirement definition experience - Understanding of MOD and 3 military services especially the Army - Knowledge/experience of working within C4ISR Domain
- Proven record as a good team player - Ability to manage own workload
