Operating Department Practitioner-Flexible Working

You will be required to provide high standards of patient care and offer skilled support within theatre teams. Due to an increase in patients, an experienced Operating Department Practitioner is needed to ensure high quality hospital treatment is maintained.

You will work closely with the anaesthetist helping to prepare and monitor specialist equipment throughout surgery. The ability to work as part of a team and concentrate in a pressurised setting are key as you will be responsible for tending to patient needs and monitoring vital signs. Post-anaesthetic, you will support patients by providing pain management and ensuring their physical, emotional and comfort needs are met. You will need good communication, problem solving and organisational skills.

Successful candidates will need:

At least 6 months experience in the NHS within the past 2 years
References to cover the past 3 years
Current professional registration with the NMC
