Openstack/Migrations Specialist - Contract - Olten

For our client, a leading provider of planning and production solutions for transportation companies, we are currently looking for an OPENSTACK/MIGRATIONS SPECIALIST.

Our client maintains an internal server landscape which uses OpenStack to provision approximately 50 virtual instances. The individual instances run various Linux and Windows operating systems. The server landscape consists of two physical Servers running Ubuntu.

As an OPENSTACK/MIGRATIONS SPECIALIST your main task will consist of upgrading the described environment to the latest stable versions of Ubuntu and OpenStack.

DELIVERABLES

- Project Plan for the Upgrade
- Installation of a test environment
- Migration of the production environment
- Migration (if possible) or reinstallation of the existing virtual instances
- Upgrade of key virtual instances to the latest stable version of Ubuntu
- Documentation of the installation & upgrade procedures
- Training of employees to maintain the upgraded environment

The work is to be performed at our client offices based near Olten.
