Open Source Capability Contractor

This position will support a project driving uniform management of Open Source software for a leading global finance services company, to accelerate Open Source software usage while addressing legal and compliance risks.

The role requires gathering data on the current processes and tools used for managing open source and conducting a gap analysis on these. Following gap analysis, the individual will lead an assessment of open source management solutions to address gaps identified in the analysis, selecting and implementing a solution.

The applicant must have a background in open source software, expertise in Linux computing, as well as production processes. The applicant must have experience integrating open source software and platforms into a major corporate environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must understand Linux stack
- Competency in Unix
- Ability to evaluate current environment and vendors without bias
- Experience integrating open source software and platforms into an enterprise corporate environment
- RedHat skills nice to have
- Preference for finance services industry background, exposure to many technology solutions, and background at companies such as EMC, Cisco, IBM, etc.
