Onshore Export Cable Installation Manager

A Renewable Energy client is looking for an Onshore Export Cable Installation Manager to work onshore on their offshore wind farm project. The client is looking for an Onshore Export Cable Installation Manager who can start approx. 1st February 2015 up until the 31st January 2017 approx. Work patterns: Mon - Fri 08:00 - 18:00; some evening/weekend working maybe required.

Responsibilities:

Recommend cable joint bay, ducting and cable/utility crossing solutions
Oversee onshore installation solution and cable pulling
Ensure satisfactory reinstatement of the works
FEED Considerations, Ducting Solutions, Joint Bay Solutions, Cable Pulling Techniques, Technical Requirements, Tender Negotiations and Clarifications
Assumption and Fact Book Preparation, Lessons Learnt Reviews, Technical Lead During Procurement, Contract and Variation Negotiations, Key Date and Milestone Selection, Delivery Criteria, Health and Safety Lead and Documentation Approval
Land Owner/Local Authority/Governing Body/Local Population Negotiations
Crossing Agreements negotiations and solutions including HDD and open cut Compliant deployment of an onshore cable installation system
Monitoring of compliant cable installation with respect to MBR and pull forces
Ensuring correct and agreed reinstatement of works satisfactory to all involved parties
Responsible for communication between contractors and head project meetings
Timely follow up of suppliers progress/results ensuring compliance with the MTS
Ensure that the quality processes and manager reviews are followed at all times
Promote an excellent safety culture and set metrics to record performance
Identify, understand and manage interfaces for the electrical works towards other project packages as well as towards suppliers; and handle them in cooperation with the rest of the team
Compliance with Company requirements, International Standards and Good Engineering Practice
Identify, discuss and provide information/assets to the OFTO, Balance of Plant and O&M

Qualifications:

BSc Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 2 - 3 years practical as well as theoretical experience within HV export cables, components or installation
Has the skills of a good Project Engineer (technically, skilled, integrity, communication, adaptability, teamwork, decision-making and planning), and preferably experience with the clients Energy IT tools/procedures
GWO Certification

Provisions:

The consultant must bring his/her own PC compatible with MS Office 2007 software and mobile telephone.
The Client will provide office facilities available to the Consultant including office space
