Online Learning Developer

Reporting to the Manager of Learning Technology, this position will serve as a resource on E-learning solutions and will partner with the different departments and subject matter experts to design, develop, and maintain user-friendly, interactive online learning resources, including E-learning courses, asynchronous learning, course and curriculum library and other learning communications. The position will both develop and oversee the development of online learning solutions.

Responsibilities include project management of assigned projects; serving as resource and mentor to subject matter experts and serving as the liaison between Learning and Development and key stakeholders. Position interacts with management on a regular basis and works both independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of Learning Management System and E-learning authoring tools preferred.

This position is located in Skokie with easy access to the CTA and METRA. THE POSITION COULD QUALIFY FOR WORK FROM HOME BENEFITS.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

- Ensure the installation and maintenance of practical E-learning and blended learning solutions; work with partners to ensure successful execution of E-learning solutions on an LMS.
- Partner with subject matter experts to design, program, and maintain interactive learning modules. Establish and maintain relationships with internal subject matter experts. Experience levels will vary greatly.
- Work diligently to continually assess their learning needs and recommend, implement, and maintain practical online solutions.
- Recommend most effective rollout based upon learning solution and audience requirements.
- Identify ways to enhance user friendliness/accessibility of available web resources (eg, E-learning content library, Annual Required Education, Epic, etc.).
- Write and publish learning communications to market learning products and services.
- Serve as liaison between Learning and Development and Human Resource Information Systems/IS and vendor.
- Document and follow up on problems and determine appropriate solutions.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

- Minimum of 3-5 years in developing web-based learning
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Experience with software design tools such as Articulate, Flash, Tool Book, Qarbon, Captivate, Camtasia or similar online design software.
- Working knowledge of HTML and graphic design software
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications required
- Functional and technical knowledge of Learning Management Systems a plus
