Oil Management Unit Operative

Projektbeschreibung

Our client is a British multinational energy and utility company. They are an industry leader in electricity transmission and energy distribution with a customer base in the millions.

They are now looking to recruit an Oil Management Unit (OMU) Operative to be based in Kent on an initial 6 month contract with a view to permanent position. The successful candidate's role will be to provide oil management support to Operations and Unlicensed Customers, ensuring the continued safe and reliable operation of the electricity transmission network through the efficient maintenance of substation assets.

Key Accountabilities:
*Prepare OMU Kits/Equipment for use by substation staff
*Deliver/collect OMU Equipment from sites throughout UK
*Operate Mobile Oil Processing Plant
*Carry out maintenance/inspection on OMU Equipment
*Maintain Oil Stock Levels and records
*Operate lorry mounted lifting equipment and fork lift trucks
*Prepare and issue Waste Transfer Notes

Knowledge and Experience Required:
*Ability to work unsupervised on a wide range of transmission oil equipment as part of a fully integrated team but with occasional lone working
*Understanding of relevant operational policies, procedures and processes
*Demonstrate a self-help approach to common work related problems, using IS systems to resolve them

Qualifications Required:
*Modern apprenticeship or equivalent, including City & Guilds 232 (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) or relevant NVQ's, in an engineering discipline
*IOSH Working Safely or equivalent.
*Full UK driving licence (HGV class 1)

Key Interfaces:
*Substations and Overhead Lines staff - liaise and support for OMU activities
*Operations Support information on progress of job
*Promoting the company's image and safeguards its interests with all third parties
