Oil and Gas Midstream Project Engineer Job

Yoh has a 24 MONTH PLUS CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY for (MULTIPLE) EPC MIDSTREAM PROJECT ENGINEERS (OIL AND GAS) to join our client in DOWNTOWN HOUSTON, TX.

Key words: EPC, Midstream, piping systems, facilities, compression services.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Our client is looking for multiple Project Engineers. This candidate should have good knowledge on all oil and gas Midstream processes.

They are looking for the following:

- Project Engineers with strong PIPING DESIGN experience (OR)
- Project Engineers with strong FACILITIES MANAGEMENT experience (OR)
- Project Engineers with strong PACKAGING experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- PROJECT ENGINEERS (OIL AND GAS, EPC, MID-STREAM) will prepare project approval scoping, estimating and planning for various projects.
- Project engineer will coordinated with mechanical, piping, and electrical/instrumentation design groups to complete engineering packages. Present projects for design reviews to Operations, Maintenance, Health and Safety, Environmental and Management, for final approval and funding.
- Follow approved projects from field construction to start-up.
- Supervise contract and plant work forces for all capital-funded projects.
- Prepared detailed contractor Bid Packages
- PROJECT ENGINEERS (OIL AND GAS, EPC, MID-STREAM) Develops ASME Code and lifting lug calculations. Sizes piping, valves and controls.
- Project Engineer receives shop red-line drawings and oversees final drafting revisions in a timely manner.
- Develops bills of material and shop and works with the shop.
- Negotiates change orders and approves them when the customer presents modifications
- Performs engineering calculations to size vessels, piping, and valves to develop flow diagrams to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
- Ensures project engineering work is completed accurately and on schedule.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- AN INDIVIDUAL WHO CAN WORK INDEPENDENTLY, LOVES CHALLENGES AND AN OUT OF THE BOX THINKER .
- ABILITY TO WORK IN A VERY FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT.
- EXPERIENCED IN WORKING IN EPC PROJECTS.
- THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF OIL AND GAS MIDSTREAM PROCESSES.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering with at least (5 - 10) five to ten years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Five to ten (5-10) plus years of experience with oil and gas process equipment sizing, design & ASME Code.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Auto Cad, Microsoft Project.).
