Offshore Platform Principal Interface Engineer

Offshore Platform Interface Engineer - 6month rolling contract. North East England, Flex on Location.

I am currently recruiting working with a leading renewable client in the recruitment of an Offshore Platform Primary Interface Engineer. The position will enable the candidate to take on a management position overseeing a design team responsible for interface clarification, integration and technical documentation of the primary systems for HV offshore substations.

You will be liaising with various areas of the business, taking on the role of a co-ordinator between the design and construction team. This role will also see you be heavily involved in the tender process as well as input into the switchgear technical specifications; working with the engineering department to define additional off shore specific requirements such as:

Sea fastening requirements

Load out issues

Sea transport & lifting goods

Alongside this you will also have input into the platform layouts. You will be a key point of contact throughout the tender period and will identify and resolve interface issues between the items of plant and the platform structure as well as being responsible for interface scheduling.
