OFFSHORE CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEER LEAD

An offshore Civil/Structural Engineer Lead is required to Manage the Civil/Structural Package Team with the development on large-scale offshore wind projects, providing engineering design, fabrication and Installation solutions for all Civil/Structural infrastructure associated with offshore windfarm projects. You will support the clients Engineering team during project development to minimise the throw life costs of the project.

Responsible for the development and delivery of civil/structural packages from feasibility to detailed engineering design, supply and installation for offshore windfarm projects. Responsible for projects of greater value and complexity within the portfolio whilst developing staff within the dept or project team. This will include providing the necessary basic and detailed engineering specifications and designs for projects, placing engineering and supply and construction Contracts, innovation, effective technical and commercial support, advice, coaching and input throughout the life cycle of a portfolio of projects.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

- Chartered civil/Structural Engineer
- Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience/knowledge supporting development & construction phases of power generation/windfarm civil/structural engineering.
- Good inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments and businesses.
- Ability to implement, apply and promote CDM and Health & Safety best practice in a design environment
- Ability to represent departments or project teams regarding plant engineering issues, decisions, standards or industry best practice. Good knowledge of industry codes and standards and applicable offshore regulations.
- Experience in Offshore Civil/structural Engineering Contracts.
- Experience in Offshore Civil/Structural installation Contracts.

You may be required to undertake short trips away from home and demonstrate flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the job.
