Offshore Installation Manager - Structures

A Renewable Energy client is looking for Offshore Installation Managers - Structures to work onshore for their offshore wind farm project. The client is looking for individuals who can start approx. 22nd April 2015 up until approx. 30th April 2016. This role will be based at the clients UK offices and will be 5 working days per week.

Responsibilities

Analyse, recommend and optimise offshore installation and logistics concepts
Charter installation vessels incl, support vessels and barges.
Negotiate and recommend offshore installation contracts incl, Marine Warranty Surveyor.
Secure the day-to-day management of the installation contract.
Ensure contractors delivery and own review of method statements and risk assessments.
Analysis and optimise installation procedures prior to and during installation.
Implementation of national rules and regulations during the installation preparation work and during installation campaign.
Manage and coordinate offshore installation contracts and activities including interfaces with regards to Engineering, Procurement, fabrication and Offshore Installation operations.
Manage the Marine Warranty Surveyor.
Provide progress reports for the contracts.
Participate in project team meetings and cross discipline cooperation.
Continuous knowledge sharing with relevant line departments.
Coordinate and attend inspections of vessels provided to the project.
Carry out RAMS and take part in HAZID/HAZOP for installation design/offshore installation operations.
Inform the substation project manager of all significant technical issues, in particular risks, and develop contingency plans.
Ensure compliance within internal quality standards for project execution.
Ensure that deliveries comply with internal and external HSE requirements.
Ensure that the installation contract is on schedule, on budget and to the highest QA/QC and HSE standards.
Be the focal point of the contact for all offshore platform installation issues.
Liaison, co-ordination and provision of adequate support to Project Managers.
Comply with client's guidelines and standards in force ie QUBE and Synergi requirements, as well as local requirements.
Ensure that the technical department's best practices are implemented.

Qualifications:

MSc diploma or other relevant Master degree certificate
Project management level: PMP certified or equivalent
8yrs relevant work experience within wind and/or offshore construction
8yrs experience from a similar position

The client will provide office facilities available to the Consultant including office space.
