- Experience in administering Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012 Server, Linux and Active Directory.
- Experience in implementation and configuration of VMware solutions: ESXi, vCenter, VMware View.
- Proven experience managing VDI setup in enterprise environment.
- Experience in creating and maintaining policies and procedures associated with the VDI environment
- Experience in creating and maintaining standard VDI desktop images, with appropriate applications, for specific departments or groups of users.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining distributed virtual Switches in a VMware environment.
- Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting storage systems and management software EMC, NetApp. Storage space allocation in virtual environment.
- Hands-on Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS SAN/NAS/DAS troubleshooting experience.
- Experience in patching of ESX severs and VMs with VMware Update manager
- Ability to work with VSPHERE/VMware Consolidated Backup/Virtual machine backups
- Hands on experience on VERITAS Cluster/Volume manager on Windows
- Hands on experience on Citrix Xen App
- Hands on experience on VM Ware View and VM Ware Thin Apps
- Server hardware installation and management experience on Cisco Blade Servers, HP Blade Servers
- Installation and configuration of Cisco Nexus Switches
- Basic understanding usage/management SCCM for windows patch management
- Tools: Hand on experience on ITSM tools like HPSM, BMC Remedy.
- ITIL: Knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures.
- Excellent in verbal, written communication, presentation skills
- Problem solving abilities.
- Can perform under stressful and stringent timelines with minimal help with ownership
- Take ownership to manage deliverables across multiple internal and external projects on a global basis without any help from peers & seniors.
- Take ownership to manage multiple assignments simultaneously without any/minimal guidance or help from seniors or peers team members.
- To act as a single point of contact for the VDI environment
- Take full responsibility for all components in the VDI environment
- To take active part and lead discussions with different stakeholders and services to be able to deliver the VDI operation.
- Enable a secure and stable VDI environment.
