This position has been released on a temporary basis initially, you will be reporting to a Senior OD Business Partner. This critical new role will provide a key operational interface between OD and the designated services to embed a strategic approach to organisational development. This will involve an approach that seeks to use the principles and components of whole systems thinking, making this real and accessible and which will result in more effective front line delivery both now and in the future.

As a trusted OD Professional, the post holder will support effective and considered change management, culture development and employee engagement in a consistent and coordinated fashion through the delivery of business focused OD interventions, projects and coaching that contribute to optimal organisation effectiveness. Promoting health and well being as part of the raison d'être of the Council, the post holder will ensure due consideration and inclusion of health and well being as part of the people performance and talent management components of the OD offer.

The primary focus of the role is on the people side of change with the post holder creating and implementing OD and change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement. This appointment will be supporting the delivery of business critical transformation programmes that are currently in a delivery.

You should match the following criteria:

Qualifications/Professional membership
* Degree or equivalent level qualification or experience.
* Chartered Member CIPD or relevant alternative qualification or experience.

Knowledge and Experience
* Educated and or training within the organizational development field.
* Experience and knowledge of OD/change management principles, diagnostics and methodologies and techniques, in particular whole systems thinking
* At least 3 years experience of delivering OD interventions on Change Programmes
* Good all round technical OD knowledge and experience covering both theory and practice,
* Commercial acumen as well as public sector knowledge - ability to interpret and anticipate trends.
* OD knowledge for analysing people issues affecting business performance.
* Ability to build relationships quickly.
* Able to work with and analyse data and MI drawing reasoned and evidenced conclusions
* Have sufficient and demonstrable experience to contribute to OD Strategy development for relevant services.
* Experience of working with senior managers and specialists to develop appropriate OD interventions to help improve organisational performance
* Proven experience of delivering outcomes through effective matrix management and working
* General knowledge of SEND reforms
