Occupational Therapist - Mental Health - Surrey

TXM Healthcare have a fantastic opportunity for an occupational therapist to join this low secure hospital based in Surrey on a locum basis until a perm is recruited.

The successful applicant will join the Occupational Therapy and Activities service for Adolescents and ensure that the team maintains an active role within the Multi-disciplinary team.

Applicants MUST have post qualifying experience in ADOLESCENTS MENTAL HEALTH

The role will include

Assessment of adults taking into account their health, social and cultural needs, identifying and implementing appropriate 1:1 or group interventions
Developing and maintaining innovative and creative ways of working with patients who are difficult to engage and undertaking appropriate risk assessment for the therapeutic contact that is offered to patients
Managing a team consisting of assistants
Regular review of the group program with the multidisciplinary team,
Attending multi-disciplinary meetings, including statutory reviews, as required
As an Occupational Therapist you will promote customer care at all times by treating patients, carer's referrers and other agencies with respect and courtesy and maintain their dignity.
