Occupational Health & Safety Specialist Job

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTHOSHA, EPA, DEP, DOT and others as necessary
- In collaboration with Human Resources, assist in the investigation of incidents as needed; compiles and approves incident reports
- Provide or coordinate external industrial hygiene services where appropriate
- Evaluate potential workplace hazards through regular laboratory and office inspections, ensure that ongoing programs and/or remedies are implemented, and regularly review departmental operating policies and procedures

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field
- Professional certification a plus
- Minimum five plus years' experience in a laboratory, biotech manufacturing or other applicable safety field
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Federal, State, and Local safety regulations required including DOT and OSHA
- Experienced in the development, organization and implementation of facility-wide safety programs
