Occupational Health Registered Nurse Job

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH REGISTERED NURSE (RN) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in New York, NY.

- Best qualified candidate will be able to triage and treat occupational injury and illnesses
- Perform Case Management services focused on Workers Compensation and/or Disability management

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Best qualified candidate will be able to triage and treat occupational injury and illnesses
- Perform the following;
- Department of Transportation Examinations
- Controlled Substance Testing
- Drug and Alcohol Program/Aftercare
- Management of Work Related Injury/Illness Claims
- Hearing Conservation Program Compliance
- Health Education/Wellness Programs

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Best qualified candidate will have two plus (2+) years of experience dealing with the treatment and triage of injuries and illnesses in an occupational health setting
- Experience with case management or workers compensation through an insurance company; utilization review or discharge planning experience through a hospital setting
- Furthermore, that candidate will understand the aspects of managing the return to work timeline, work related injuries, crisis management and Spirometry and Hearing tests that will be done
- Overall communication expert and be able to work in a cross functional team to recognize any threats to the employee populations well being

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- CCM - preferred but not required
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Licensed with State of NY
- CPR Certified
