OUR CLIENT IS BALFOUR BEATTY AND WE ARE RECRUITING FOR AN INTERIM (COULD LEAD TO PERM) OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MANAGER.

ROLE PURPOSE:

To provide Occupational Health (OH) expertise and manage the service level performance of an outsourced OH delivery model in order to develop an industry leading occupational health strategy and service across the Business Unities within the Services Division. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- As a member of the Health and Safety Leadership Team, support the development and implementation of the Services Occupational Health Strategy
- Manage the occupational health provision across the Services Division
- Develop and maintain a highly effective occupational health management strategy and system for use across Services Division operations that is in line with the zero harm strategy
- Procure outsourced Occupational Health services to deliver a successful Occupational Health and wellbeing strategy/service within Services Division
- Develop and maintain proactive and positive relationships with all key stakeholders within all Business Units under the Services Division and across the wider Balfour Beatty Group 
- Understand the importance of corporate governance and ensure consistent measures and standards are applied
- Manage the outsourced Occupational Health services to deliver a successful Occupational Health and wellbeing strategy/service within the Services Division
- Liaise with the HR teams to ensure appropriate supporting systems are in place during recruitment, referral and review processes and ensure those at risk are captured under Occupational Health surveillance
- Liaise with Insurance teams to review Occupation Health cases, trends and statistics and review lessons learnt
- Take lessons learnt forward within the Services Business Unit
- Provide regular updates on claims and outcomes to the Power T&D Director of HSEQS
- Develop and implement effective Occupational Health service delivery and Occupational Health employee wellbeing metrics and reports
- Liaise with the HSE advisory teams to ensure adequate Occupational health support is provided across Services business stream operations to meet regulatory and sector specific requirements
- Develop and maintain training packages to ensure operational personnel with Occupational Health responsibilities have the necessary skills to take forward the strategy requirements

- Holds a Degree (BSc or equivalent)
- Registered Healthcare Professional
- Membership of professional organisation
- Able to demonstrate continuing professional development
- Experience of managing outsourced Occupational Health provision as an informed buyer' within a construction or closely related environment
- Must be a good author of managerial reports, and presentations
- Must be able to understand statistics and explain graphical presentations.
- Highly developed communication and influencing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Focused and results driven, who quickly establishes confidence and rapport.
