Obiee Project Manager

The Role

To provide expert Project Management skills to one of our critical reporting platforms.

Key Accountabilities

- Define the project and ensure that the project management artefacts are written and maintained as required.
- Ensure that adequate resources and funding are requested in order to satisfy the requirements of the project.
- Ensure that the necessary training is identified for the project and that this is provided by the technical leads to the project team members so that they can perform their duties effectively.
- Ensure that the project is managed in compliance with WorldPay tollgate governance.
- Ensure adherence to project standards and compliance with WorldPayPM processes. Where the process will not be followed raise and gain appropriate Process Owner approval via a process exception form.
- Define and allocate project tasks to the assigned project resources as appropriate.
- Manage the assigned project budget.
- Manage the assigned scope of a project in accordance with the agreed obligations.
- Perform risk management by continually identifying, analysing, and responding to project risks.
- Plan, organise, control, lead, and monitor the project team resources via the assigned technical lead (This may include the direct or Matrix management of designers developers, business analysts, operational staff, management) as appropriate.
- Communicate project tasks and structure and ensure the team is fully aware of their responsibilities, deadlines and reporting lines during the project.
- Motivate the project team, raising any line management issues to the technical lead as necessary, communicate project tasks and structure and ensure the team is fully aware of their responsibilities, deadlines and reporting lines during the project.
- Ensure that all assigned documentation production and reviews are planned in accordance with the WorldPayPM processes (SDLC).
- Ensure that configuration management. is appropriately applied.
- Ensure the completeness and traceability of all project documentation and provide project sign-off for these as required.
- Convene project review, project working group review., and phase review meetings as necessary.
- Review and accept or reject internally produced deliverables as required;
- If the project includes sub-contracted deliverables, review and accept or reject these in accordance with the Supplier Management team standards.
- Ensure that Key Performance Indicators are collated and generated and provided to the management dashboard, as required.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and distribute as required ensuring that project progress reporting occurs to the defined frequency.
- Resolve issues and problems and when resolution is not within reach, escalate to program board, delivery office and/or TBS management.
- Approve timesheets within Primavera for any directly managed resources for the duration of the project.
- Co-ordinate inter-team activities as necessary, including communication of project dependencies on other teams, service level expectations and project delivery dates.
- Work closely with the Head of Project Management in order to improve WorldPayPM processes as required (for example, project close/lessons learned output).

Skills & Experience

- Appropriate project management certification, eg, PMI's (Project Management Institute) Project Management Professional and/or familiarity with the application of the PMI Project Process Standard.
- Experience of being a Project Manager in a Matrix environment where resources are managed via a delivery vertical hierarchy.
- Proficiency in managing project initiatives using KPIs using metrics to give advance notice of project issues to senior management.
- Experience of the software development life cycle components.
- Working with the BA's to identify the analytical requirements across the organisation.
- Provision/implementation of OBIEE Applications including BI Apps and analytics (OAA) capabilities.
- Consolidation of Applications with cloud deployments (with the exception of RPD file).
- Provision of solution for Consolidate Reporting.
- Establishment of business units to undertake OBIEE report construction.
- Delivery of reports required from Separation.
- Delivery of dashboards required from Separation.
- Delivery of Analytical queries (incl migration of existing SAS/SQL queries).
- Integration with IAM Security.
- Identification and establishment of role profiles and groups for internal users of OBIEE.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, eg, Primavera & MS Project for project scheduling, critical path analysis, Work Breakdown Structure, Earn Value Analysis for measuring project performance, Primavera for scheduling, resource assignments and collection of actual effort data, software estimation techniques.
- Leadership attributes appropriate to a project structure, eg communication and inter-personal skills, problem solving skills.
- Experience of managing similar sized projects.
- High level functional and architectural knowledge of payment systems as required.
- Experience of managing sub-contractors.
