NURSE ASSESSOR - Contract Role

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Initial Review Team forms part of Capita's Personal Independence Payment service. In the role you will analyse claimant information to determine the next steps in the process for that claimant. You will prepare reports for those that can or should be completed without a face to face assessment and provide case advice to the DWP.

The role requires great comprehensions skills, the ability to evaluate the information you are presented with, solid clinical skills, computer literacy and ability to input data quickly and accurately.

What is PIP?

As part of the Government's welfare reform agenda, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have introduced a new benefit called the Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Replacing the Disability Living Allowance (DLA), PIP is designed to better reflect today's understanding of disability and is focused on helping with the extra costs disabled people face to lead independent lives.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

At least 18 months post-registration experience as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Nurse (level 1) or Doctor with a licence to practise in the uk and no sanctions.

You have a clear understanding of the clinical aspects, and likely functional effects, of a wide-range of health conditions and disabilities.

DESIRED SKILLS

Solid clinical skills
