Nuclear Engineer

Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Nuclear Engineer needed with 5+ years of relevant experience needed for 3-6 month contract position at corporate office in MS. You will development plant program documents, calculations, engineering evaluations, operability determinations, maintenance of design basis documents, resolution of Corrective Action Issues, support of continued plant operation, and assessment of adverse conditions. Paid mobilization and per diem. Pay based on experience, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop schedules, utilize work management tools, perform assignments for engineering related activities to support site and fleet goals.
- Prepare computer code input and data analysis and perform PRA computer modeling, interpret the results, and prepare reports.
- Use PRA tools such as fault trees, human reliability analysis ( HRA ), common cause failure analysis ( CCFA ), and other tools
- Attend and participate in Department and Plant meetings and industry/fleet activities.

REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years of Probabilistic Risk Assessment experience as a Nuclear Engineer.
- Experience with PSA software applications (CAFTA, or FRANC).
- Experience with fire PRA and NFPA 805 is required. Have a keen sense of PSA model limitations, working knowledge of plant systems and how the PSA model these systems. Experience with the regulatory applications of the PSA to emergent plant issues, fire risk & emerging industry issues.
