NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

Shoreham Port is a thriving, diverse and modern trust port with excellent infrastructure and facilities. It is operated as a highly commercial enterprise with a turnover of £11 million, 100 staff, handling 900 ships per annum, carrying a broad range of cargoes, which includes aggregates, steel, timber and cereals, as well as having an extensive property portfolio, with significant development opportunities. The Port is a key regional economic driver with 1,600 staff employed within a variety of businesses on its land.

The Board is now seeking None-Executive Directors with relevant senior and executive level experience and current knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

Operations-Commercial, Infrastructure-Asset Management, Development-Property-Environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required. Familiarity with regional issues is desirable.

The post attracts modest remuneration.

The appointments will be initially for three years, with a time commitment of about 15 days per annum.
