NOC OPERATOR | 4 X 12 SHIFT | CONTRACT | SLOUGH

My client, a boutique Service Management consultancy are seeking a number of individuals to join them as NOC operators, based onsite with a client of their based in the Slough area.

Working in a 4 x 12 hour shift pattern (4 on, 4 off) you will play a core role towards the high availability of the mission critical service with key responsibilities that include:

- Actively monitors the Infrastructure
- Reactively resolves any incidents which occur and ensure these are responded to promptly, professionally and within agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Proactively performs scheduled changes within specified Maintenance Windows ensuring the infrastructure is always up to date and running at optimum efficiency.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Post-secondary diploma in Computer Systems, Systems Administration, or a related discipline
- Experience with Windows, Linux, networking technology
- Previous experience in an IT Administration or Network Operations setting
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude in stressful situations are required
- Work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to work rotating weekdays and weekends, evening and over night shifts is mandatory.

ADDITIONAL ASSETS:

- Experience with Remedy/ServiceNow
- Experience with Databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, Sybase)
- Experience with Internet technologies (Mail: SMTP, POP, IMAP; Web: HTTP, HTTPS; DNS)
