NOC MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Allen Texas.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This position provides overall direction and leadership to the operational activities of the Allen Network Operations Center, employing 50 to 75 employees.
- Primary responsibilities include: managing 24 x 7 surveillance and monitoring center; alarm acknowledgement and resolution; providing Tier I support on all network elements; Major Service Interruption, notifications and updates; support to field technicians; and completing detailed reviews for major network outages.
- The position has accountability for operating budgets associated with the Network Operations Center.

- Assist in managing operational budgets
- Organizational Development - Recruiting, personnel management, goal setting, training, coaching, mentoring, etc.
- Major Network Outage Coordination and Escalation Minimum 5-10 years of experience in telecommunications leadership/management role and with specific knowledge managing medium to large network operations centers.
- Technical knowledge of TDM switching, VoIP, Internet, Data, Transport, Network operations, as well as experience in developing operational metrics.
- Training background and manpower experience.
- The candidate must possess outstanding interpersonal skills, and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of network management tools and operating systems required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experience setting up local exchange operations including surveillance, monitoring, fix, and repair.
- An understanding of IP telecommunications.
- Experience with regulatory and legal issues associated with governmental regulation of telecommunications services.
- Strong focus on continuous quality improvement and decision making ability.
- Maximize employee productivity, morale, and retention through empowerment techniques and team building and maintain strong working relationships with other staff and partners.
- Demonstrated understanding of the role and impact of cross-functional departments and their relative impact on company initiatives.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively and with a "can do" attitude.
- Develop an achievable set of network performance objectives for the organization and then measure performance to those metrics.
- Provide periodic assessment of key operational issues and potential problems to upper management.
- Must be able to use computer and office equipment.
- Adaptable to change. Specialized Knowledge: Must have working knowledge of all telecommunication disciplines including telephone, network operation tool, process, and metrics
- Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
- Must have thorough knowledge of management principles and practices; personnel supervision and development; and telephony technologies.
- Working knowledge of computer word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be available for network emergencies 7 x 24.
- Some evening and/or weekend work as necessary based upon workload.
- Develop complex business cases to new business processes.
- Manage sensitive personnel issues in a timely and effective manner.
