NOC Infrastructure Support Technician Job

NOC SUPPORT TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Phoenix AZ.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Significant progressive experience operating and monitoring distributed & Mainframe systems.
- Open to working day and evening shifts

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Actively and visibly seek knowledge and understanding of the operational environment, priorities and processes to support a system availability of seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Manages changes and negotiations.
- Communicates issues openly, honestly and timely with peers, management and clients.
- Delivers quality results on time and within budget. Simplifies or eliminates low value added work processes to assist in the conservation of corporate resources. Effectively prioritizes own work and manages time spent based on priorities.
- Identifies and plans for training needed to support current business and technical environment. Actively seeks to improve own skills and knowledge to apply to current and emerging business and technical environment. May train team members.
- May participate in the development of effective business cases using sound cost/benefit analysis. For small projects, assists in the coordination of all phases of project planning and execution, including estimating resources and tasks, creating, managing, etc.
- Performs a variety of phases of delivery and maintenance of data infrastructure system software and/or infrastructure systems. Assists in the balancing of business requirements and preferred technical architecture to provide effective information systems.
- Performs all work in a safe manner, appropriate to the work environment. Notices and takes action on all unsafe conditions when observed. Actively encourages safe work practices.
- Resolves a variety of problems by analysing error codes and using knowledge of operating system internals, network operating systems, LAN/WAN infrastructure components, Scripting techniques and solid problem isolation/resolution methodologies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- AA Degree in Computer Science, Business or related degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
