NOC Engineer -  DSR (Diameter Signaling Router) - 1 Year Contract - Berkshire

Square one are looking for 2 NOC Engineers to come on board for a year long contract based in Berkshire. you will join a team of Six engineers who are performing this activity on  basis 24/7. This will work on a shift rota basis with 6 days on and 4 days off. The goal is to supervise the DSR (Diameter Signaling Router) on a scheduled activity but also to investigate or configure the system upon customer request.

Duties are to know the DSR product, to be able to install, configure, troubleshoot the system.

Skills:
Requires excellent capability to manage a task.
Autonomous and rigorous are the first qualities to have in order to successfully complete the work.
Good oral and written communications skills in English.
Ability to function under pressure in critical situations.
Be able work over a shift period (day, night and evening).
Be able to work in a team environment where multiple services and environments are involved.

Demonstrate general use of several principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in the following areas:
- ePC network protocols (Diameter protocol)
- Related Industry Standards and Specifications (IETF, ITU, etc.)
- Operating Systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux, etc.)
- IP network and equipment (Cisco : CCNA)
- Test equipment (protocol analyzers, break-out-box, logic analyzers)

Education: BSEE, BSET, or BSCS or equivalent, 0-2 years related experience.

This is a year long contract paying up to £25.50 per hour depending on experience
