Niche Business Analyst

Edinburgh: Niche Business Analyst - £360 - £390 per day.

EA Change Group's Edinburgh based Banking client urgently requires a motivated and enthusiastic Niche Business Analyst to join them on a contract basis.

The Niche Analyst would be working on a Programme ensuring that the non-personal account landscape is extracted from source systems to a central database. Implementing new processes to enhance the information, where necessary, to ensure that key ownership and accountability is documented in line with Bank's Minimum Standards and Account Ownership and Confirmation.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Self-starter with extensive experience of requirements gathering and traceability mapping.
- Experience, working in large data extraction and transfer programmes, ideally within the Banking Sector and specifically transitioning work between departments.
- Sound Knowledge and understanding of the banking sector, products, operations, operations Risk.
- An appreciation of accounting hierarchies and operational risks, due diligence.
- Be able glean information from the SME in a challenging and sensitive environment.
- Process mapping skills to map both AS-IS and TO-BE process flows.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, manage stakeholders at various levels.
- Inquisitive mind enabling investigative analysis along with attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and implement training approaches across multiple business units, adapting the approach as necessary dependent upon colleague requirements.
- Experience of transitioning operational process and teams.
- Experience of Solution Architecture and data mapping
- Experience of implementing reconciliation automation tools - for example, TLMP/SmartRec/AutoRec/Docucube.
- Appreciation of Operational risk regarding reconciliations.
- Able to work in a pressurised environment whilst being sensitive to impacted parties.
