NHS PROJECT MANAGER (BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, BIDS, TENDERS)

Business Development/Project Manager required for a short term contract based in Norfolk. All candidates must have previous experience of Bids, Tenders & Business Development for multiple NHS clients.

JOB PURPOSE

- To promote clients development of business opportunities and delivering the clients business development strategy.
- Work closely with clinical and operational colleagues to understand opportunities and nurture relationships with existing and new clients and partners to develop new business
- To be responsible for the development of effective business propositions through the development of effective business case documents and formal tender responses
- Carry our market analysis and horizon scanning on a regular basis to understand market opportunities in line with organisational strengths
- To co-ordinate the reporting of potential new business activity (prospects) and new income achieved on a monthly basis
- To fulfil reporting

SKILLS

- Educated to degree level or relevant experience to an equivalent level
- Significant commercial experience gained in the healthcare sector
- Clinical experience of either delivering, evaluating healthcare services
- Account management skills and specific experience in contract and stakeholder management
- Knowledge of commissioning process and procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of NHS performance and modernisation agenda such as TCS and QIPP
- Knowledge of scope and context of service development areas within community healthcare organisations

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE

- Effective communication skills including the ability to communicate highly complex  commercial information
- Effective influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to give clear and effective Presentations
- IT skills to develop/create reports, documents or drawings
- Ability to produce written reports and tender documents to a high standard
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Ability to plan and manage workload effectively
- Ability to influence clinicians and senior operational managers and commissioners

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

- Self starter, highly motivated and results orientated
- Ability to travel as there will be frequent requirement to travel within the local area
