NHS Interim Quality Improvement Lead - Urgent

MY CLIENT, A CSU IN THE SOUTH, IS LOOKING FOR AN INTERIM QUALITY IMPROVEMENT LEAD IMMEDIATELY TO START IN JANUARY FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 MONTHS CONTRACT.

This role provides quality assurance services to a range of clinical commissioning groups, drawing together evidence and intelligence across the areas of patient safety, patient experience and clinical effectiveness. The role is responsible for the monitoring of the clinical quality component of the NHS contract across a range of healthcare providers. The role will also contribute to service development for the clinical quality service line across the Commissioning Support Unit, ensuring that innovative approaches continue to offer value to customers.

The role will produce regular quality reports, providing interpretation and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative information. The role will lead on performance management of adverse variance against quality standards and the reporting and management of provider's Serious Incidents Requiring Investigation (SIRIs).

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Delivery of systems and processes to monitor the delivery of quality and standards for commissioned services;

Delivery of a performance management system assuring CCG Boards and Quality Committees that the services are safe and of high quality;

Patient experience intelligence systematically captured and used to inform quality improvement programmes;

Performance monitoring of Serious Incidents Requiring Investigation for commissioned services;

Provision of expert support to CCGs in including design and co-design on best practice quality standards and CQUINS reflecting national and local requirements

NOTES:

The post holder will be working with a range of providers (Acute, Mental Health) in the monitoring of quality data from a Commissioning viewpoint

Therefore Commissioning knowledge/experience ESSENTIAL

Setting up CQUINS and Quality outcomes for 2014 - previous experience essential

SIRI's for/by providers - ability to engage and manage these

Gravitas for stakeholder and CCG management - Liaison with provider Exec's and CCG leaders

Must be willing to travel between localities/offices.
