Head of Corporate Governance/Trust Secretary
(NHS, Governance, Secretariat, Assurance, Information, Corporate, Policy, Management, CCG, CSU, Foundation Trust)

Sand is looking to recruit a Head of Corporate Governance with substantial knowledge working across the Healthcare industry.

JOB SUMMARY
You will provide leadership for Corporate Governance to the Trust Board and the offices of the Chairman and Chief Executive. You will oversee all aspects of corporate governance, policy development, regulator relationships and compliance, management of the Trust Headquarters, the Trust's Archives, and the development of membership and governor services for the Trust status. You will be responsible for providing the Board and the Executive Team with the information they need to monitor and assure all aspects of the performance of the Trust.

As secretary to the Trust Board, the Head of Corporate Governance will ensure all contributions, discussions and decision making that relate to the business of the Board and its subcommittees are compliant and properly recorded in accordance with good governance.

Experienced Required:
* Extensive experience in a similar position and recent extensive experience as Board Secretary within the NHS, public sector organisation or private sector organisation with a connection to the NHS for instance the Pharmaceutical industry.
* Substantial recent experience of working to implement Board compliance and assurance.
* In depth experience of working within corporate governance frameworks.
* Considerable experience of quality monitoring of high level submissions to the Board.
* Good commercial awareness.

* Educated to Masters level or equivalent
* Further professional or management qualification is desirable.
* Formal qualification as a company secretary or equivalent is not essential but applicants must be able to show that they meet the requirements of the
