NHS Contracts Manager

A Contracts Manager with specific [recent] experience of acute hospital contracts within the NHS is required for an initial 3 month contract based in Oxford.

The suitable Contracts Manager must have experience managing contracts worth up to £400 million. The Contracts Manager must also have excellent negotiating/influencing skills and be able to work on their own initiative.

The Contracts Manager will be able to provide senior advice and guidance to support development and production of contract strategy; support the creation and implement a commissioning and contracting framework to support the negotiation and management of all contracts entered into by the CCG, provide senior support and experience as required in service specification development, redesign and service improvement discussions to help ensure that the best value for money and highest quality health services are secured within the available budget and interpret national guidance and policies from the Department of Health and identify how these should be translated into working practice.
