NGI DATABASE EXPERT ADMINISTRATOR/DEVELOPER - NGI/ADMINISTRATOR/DEVELOPER/DWDM/ETHERNET/IP/MPLS/TESTING/ENCODING/Patching/Netcracker/
UMTS/Transmission
My client has requested and experienced NGI Database Expert Administrator/Developer for contract opportunities based in Europe.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide expertise in NGI data accuracy and own the resolution of reported data inconsistencies.
- Develop the data quality control reports in NGI and test the reports in order to gain acceptance.
- Identify gaps in the knowledge of current encoding team and develop the relevant training program.
- Transfer of knowledge by training, coaching, guiding, explaining, documenting and handing over relevant information.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the encoding teams and in the managed service centre.
- Develop internal competences on key technologies such as DWDM, Ethernet, Dark Fibres, Patching, IP, MPLS, etc.
- Develop and run the acceptance of new models on to the NGI test platform.
- Database encoding, change, and release management.
- Handle NGI changes to reflect changes on to the live network.
- Troubleshoot and manage wrongly encoded data; highlight the potential issues, manage the reporting of these issues, and arrange for a suitable solution.
- Perform impact analysis related to the introduction of new features, new nodes or parts (eg new board type), architecture changes, network migrations e.t.c
- Define and perform test plans (regression tests, test of new features, and acceptance of new nodes or parts) and maintain the NGI testing environment.
- Contribute to customer-based project.
- Ensure the documentation for managed networks is always up to date and with the right level of quality.
- Readiness to participate on initial training abroad for the period of three months.
REQUIRED COMPETENCE:
- 5 years of experience as Netcracker's NGI expert encoder.
- Expert knowledge in developing reports and tools in Netcracker's NGI.
- Basic knowledge in GSM, UMTS and transmission networks.
- Knowledge of IT tools and software (MS Office, MS Access).
- Knowledge of French would be an important asset.
