Neurological Occupational Therapist (Band 6)

We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Neurological Occupational Therapist with at least 3 years post qualification UK based experience for this locum position which is located in Epsom, Surrey.

You will be required:
-To provide highly specialist assessment and treatment of complex patients with a range of diagnosis, including brain injuries and strokes
-To provide physical and cognitive rehabilitation to patients as part of their treatment
-To provide comprehensive reports and liaise effectively with carers and outside agencies to ensure effective discharge of patients
-To be responsible for key working, co-ordinating, discharge planning and work assessments for patients with neurological injuries
-To communicate effectively both verbally and within reports to consultants, other team members and outside agencies
-To participate in audits and training within the team

Essential:
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
-Health Professions Council (HPC) registration
-At least 3 years post-graduate experience as a Band 6 Neurology Occupational Therapist
-You must be computer literate
-Specialist knowledge of neurological rehabilitation
-Membership with the British Association of Occupational Therapists
-Ability to plan, develop, and implement policies, procedures and working practices

Desirable:
-Previous MoD experience
-Active member of a specialist section
