Networks Security Specialist - Investment Bank

A large Australian Investment bank with offices all over Australia are once again looking to expand their networks team with the hire of a Networks Security Specialist within their Sydney office.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Reviewing progress of IT project deliverables
- Identifying, communicating, and resolving key issues, risks, and changes to scope where they relate to IT interactions
- Reporting on IT project progress and deliverables to the Technology Leads from a network security perspective.
- Providing Audit and Change Control documentation and approvals.
- Provide design and support documents for projects.
- Assist in developing, communicating, and maintaining compliance to project schedules and dependencies as they relate to IT deliverables

YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE CAPABILITY AND EXPERIENCE WITHIN:

- Working experience within Large financial organisations
- 3 + years of Network configuration, design and troubleshooting experience with at least Cisco associate level certifications or substantial evidence of equivalent skills.
- 3 + years of Firewall configuration, design and troubleshooting with at least Checkpoint and Juniper associate level certifications or substantial evidence of equivalent skills.
- Excellent customer interaction skills and experience
- Exposure to IP voice and Video - avaya office, trading systems and voice recording.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
Industry Certification such as:
CCIE, CCDP, CCNP, CCDA, CCSE, CCSA, JNCIS-FWV, JNCIS-JUNOS, JNCIA-FWV, JNCIA-JUNOS

DESIRABLE:
Experience in Real Time low latency security environments
Windows, Unix (Linux, Solaris, etc)
Scripting (Unix Shell, Perl, etc)
Multi vendor exposure to Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IPSs, Proxy Servers, eg Nokia, Bluecoat, Cisco, Juniper/Netscreen, Juniper/Junos Sidewinder
