NETWORKING SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT - 6 MONTHS CONTRACT
Are you a networking specialist with experience in architecting solutions? Do you have a mixture of telecoms exposure and datacentre solutions? Are you looking for your next technical contract?
TYPE: CONTRACT
LOCATION: OSLO, NORWAY
RATE: €800 PER DAY (NEGOTIABLE)
DURATION: MINIMUM 6 MONTHS (LIKELY EXTENSION)
A major, global telecommunications business is urgently seeking a highly experienced networking specialist on a contract basis to provide solutions architecture and delivery on a wide range of technical enterprise level networking solutions for the businesses' customers.
Responsibilities for the Networking Architect will include (but not limited to):
The Solution Architect is responsible for working with senior IT and business executives at customers as a trusted technical advisor/partner to:
Review and analyze current business drivers and corporate objectives
Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives, and architectures necessary to align technology infrastructure with corporate objectives
Support development of external business drivers, internal and external business cases, and high level program implementation plan
Develop conceptual solution architecture using combination of Verizon solution elements and third party suppliers where appropriate to produce end to end customer solutions
Build and communicate the value proposition of the end to end solution to client executives and stakeholders
Skills required for the Networking Architect include (but are not limited to):
- 5-10 years in development and implementation of IT and/or managed telecommunications solutions
- 3+ years architecture experience in conceptualization, definition and development of IT-based products and service
- 3+ years strong project management skills with accountability for end to end delivery
- 3+ years experience in the development and implementation of one or more of the following:
- Data and IP Services (VoIP, MPLS, VPN, Internet, etc)
- Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, Content Delivery, WLAN, Managed IP PBX, etc)
- Managed Security Solutions (Firewall, Proxy, VPN, etc)
- Managed Mobility Solutions
- Data Center Outsourcing (cloud, application hosting, managed storage, etc)
- Call Center Technologies (ACD, IVR, Customer Portal, WFM, etc.)
- IT Applications Management (SOA, Web Services, RTE)
- 3+ years in customer facing positions (sales, sales engineering, consulting, etc)
- BS or BA in Engineering Computer Science, or similar
