NETWORK TRANSFORMATION ENGINEER - USA

A Network Transformation Engineer, with extensive experience on DMS100/CS2K technical support, is urgently needed to start in a contract position for one of our clients, a major telecommunication company based in North Carolina, USA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and document installation processes, practices and procedures for the Network Transformation Services. Operations, Channel partners and end customers rely on these best-practices to ensure fast and effective solution migrations onto our client's platforms. The Network Transformation Engineer works with the Design, Product Support and Services teams to define, document, test and support migration/cut-over solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Creation of installation processes and solutions in support of Network Transformations - migrate existing TDM/VoIP systems to new solutions.
- Deliver superior quality with a focus on simplified migration/cut-over practices, cost avoidance and outage de-risk
- Interface with Design, Product Support and Services teams to define, document and test migration/cut-over solutions
- Demonstrate controlled lab environment verification Network Transformation procedures
- Provide Customer demonstration of procedures and practices as necessary
- Provide support for other Global Methods projects/processes as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

- BA/BS in CIS, CS, EE Bachelor degree or equivalent in relevant discipline. Experience: 6-8 years of mostly relevant experience
- DMS100 and CS2K strong technical support experience
- UNIX/Linux, Solaris, Windows, VoIP, Nortel TDM, TCP/IP Networking, VMware a plus
- Migrations experience strongly preferred
- Excellent Interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Self-starter that displays initiative and works with little supervision
- Adaptable and able to prioritize in critical and pressure situations
- Strong project Management skills - plan, organize and control
- Capable of working in a cross functional team environment
- Demonstrated ability to quickly develop a technical understanding of new products
- Excellent written, oral communication skills and presentation skills; technical writing experience a plus
- Experience using SharePoint and Frame Maker applications desired
