Network Tools and Automation Engineer

Local and W2 Candidates only.

We are looking for a NETWORK TOOLS AND AUTOMATION FOCUSED ENGINEER that will help DEVELOP A MODULAR FRAMEWORK TO BRING VISIBILITY TO THE NETWORK AND DELIVER NETWORK CHANGE THROUGH SCRIPTS, NETWORK TOOLS AND AUTOMATION DEVELOPMENT.

THE UTILIZATION OF THESE TOOLS WILL HELP MAINTAIN NETWORK HEALTH AND TROUBLESHOOT NETWORK FAULTS.

This job function resides within the BACKBONE TIER 4 OPERATIONS TEAM which collaborates with various engineering and operational teams to sustain the best network experience for our customers while fulfilling new service and product introductions. ENGINEERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RELIABILITY, PERFORMANCE, SCALABILITY, QUALITY, AND AVAILABILITY OF THE BACKBONE NETWORK.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Programming for network automation

Maintain tool Servers and appliances

Network tools development

Network Scripting

Define modular framework

Explore new technologies

Develop process and procedures

Data Analysis

MUST HAVES

- Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Perl, PHP, Expect, and Shell
- Experience with IP Networking
- Experience with networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, QoS, Multicast, MPLS (LDP, RSVP, CSPF, TE, P2MP, CBF, Auto-bandwidth, etc)
- Operational experience with Juniper and Cisco Router and switch platforms
- Network certifications such as JNCIE and CCIE
