Network Tester

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a NETWORK TESTER to join our client in San Diego, California.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate as a member of a testing team.
- Utilize HPES testing methodology; analyze testing requirements as the basis for developing testing scenarios for a test level to be executed on a project.
- Design testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements, relative to the test level, as designed in business or technical specifications.
- Execute tasks related to the production of the Test Plan, test cases, test scripts and test data.
- Analyze the results of the testing process and recommends solutions.
- Define, identify, collect and organize detailed information relating to testing requirements.
- Interact with the project team to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and conformance criteria.
- Understand and use appropriate automated testing processes and tools.
- Stay current on established tools, techniques and technologies.
- Supports knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussion, communities and improving testing collateral through lessons learned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum five (5) years related IT experience.
- Security + Certification.
- One to two (1 - 2) years' experience in writing and executing test cases, test scripts.
- Experience with Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG).
- Knowledgeable in testing and development methodologies and their interaction.
- Knowledgeable of testing processes and testing metrics.
- Proficient in testing analysis and design, functional and performance models, and test specifications to validate functional models for testing, validate performance models for testing, develop test specification, validate test specification, validate testing coverage.
- Excellent problem determination and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively with engineers and fellow teammates.
- Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal) to all management levels within customer organization.
- Able to work on problems/projects of moderately complex scope.
- Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action.
- Able to evaluate unique circumstances and make recommendations.
- Must have excellent planning, organizational and people skills.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team.
- Must be able to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Must have strong work ethic.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

- CCNA Certification.
- Understanding of TCP protocols and OSI layers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Wan (Wide Area Network).
- Cisco knowledge.
- F5 experience.
- Juniper experience.
- Experience in a DOD network environment preferred.
