Network Technician

1 x NETWORK TECHNICIAN is required to join an existing network team working at the Valencia office of an international ICT organisation.

This is an English speaking role and requires a Network Analyst or Network Technician with experience within large infrastructure environments and working with LAN and WAN and VoIP technology. The successful candidate will join an internationally recognised company and get to work in a great city with all the amenities it has to offer, as well as join a professional, but relaxed working environment, with long term potential.

Network Technician responsibilities:

* You will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of LAN and WAN, infrastructure and datacentre operations
* You will be responsible for managing and maintaining standard configurations, Switches, Routers, Voice gateways monitoring and management tools
* You will engage in final testing and deployment of LAN/WAN and VoIP solutions and provide related technical documentation
* Relevant problem identification and resolution

* Good knowledge of network security including Firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention devices
* Basic knowledge of structured cabling including racking and mounting of network equipment
* Good knowledge of voice and video over IP including voice transport, termination and related Quality of Services
* Basic knowledge of ITIL service management methodology
* Experience with Nexus technology is a bonus but not essential
* Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required
* Knowledge of Spanish is desirable and local Spanish candidates will be highly regarded
