Network & Systems Support - 6 Month Contract - Lotus Notes

THE CLIENT
Our client is conveniently based in Sydney CBD. In addition to this they have sites in Western Sydney as well as additional sites throughout Australia. Due to an existing team member relocating to Europe, they are seeking a replacement.

THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking a Level 2 Support Engineer to join the existing team. This is a varied role that will offer new challenges on a daily basis. In this role you will be working with stakeholders across all areas and levels of the business with a key focus towards user satisfaction.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Provide technical support to users of network and systems
- Install and maintain hardware in both LAN's the first is a focus towards user satisfaction with the second being technical ability. This is a pivotal role in the organisation and due to the nature and sensitivity of the industry an assertive and strong communicator is required for this position. In addition to this previous experience supporting Lotus Notes and Novell Netware are also considered a must for this role.

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

- Experience in the provision of desktop/network support services with the ability to handle an ever changing environment whilst meeting deadlines and managing daily requests.
- A range of technical skills. Technical areas include Lotus Notes, Novell Netware, Citrix Metaframe, Windows XP/7, MS Office 2003/2010, VPN, Blackberry, AV Equipment, Tablet technology, Smartphones/Handheld Devices etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and
- Demonstrated initiative and capacity to be self directed in combination with working in a geographically spread team and working with a supervisor who resides interstate.

This is a 6 month contract role with the possibility of extension upon completion. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for someone who is tired of sitting behind a desk and taking resolving phone based issues.
