Network Systems Administrator (Middle East - Tax free)

My client is looking to expand its operational support teams as a result of new business growth in the Middle East. The role is to support and manage the operation of a complex Command, Control and Battle Management System.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform as a member of an Operations and Maintenance team in a Network Operations and Security Centre.
- Establish and maintain smooth operation of computer systems in networked or stand-alone configurations.
- Maintain system integrity, and upgrade systems and/or Servers as required.
- Identify recurring problems and recommend steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems.
- Utilise system software to monitor the performance of system files
- Perform network and system monitoring, configuration, user management, analysis, installation of server and workstations operating in a secure environment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Operation and maintenance of operations centre systems, including Command and Control systems, network infrastructure and system connectivity
- LANs, WANs
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Exchange, Linux, Windows Desktop O/S, MS Office 2010/2013, Outlook, Internet browsers, Active Directory and GPO.
- VPNs, Firewalls and other security and network devices.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking
- Capable of assessing and evaluating new Systems Support tools.

DESIRABLE EXPOSURE:

- Network and Systems monitoring using an SIEM such as ArcSight.
- Desktop software support (OS, Anti-Virus, Applications Software, etc.)

Desirable Certifications:

MCP/MCSE/MCITP, CCSP/CCNP Security, CCNA Security, GCIA, GCIH, or equivalent

The role is based on an initial 14 month contract. The first 2 months in the UK followed by 12 months in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during which time your housing will provided plus an allowance paid for expenses. You will also be entitled to tax free earnings.
