Network System Analyst (Contracting)

For an international Pharma institution in Basel we are seeking a highly motivated professional to take up the following challenge:

NETWORK SYSTEM ANALYST (CONTRACTING)

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Upgrade existing Windows XP infrastructure to Windows 7
- Integrate hardware, install and configure scientific software
- Configure and migrate existing data and methods
- Provide technical expertise for planning system migration requirements
- Create, track and close service tickets
- Streamline/expedite the delivery of improved laboratory research (incl. applications/processes)
- Comply to standards (IGM)

REQUIREMENTS

- Advanced degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology and/or IT
- Hands on experience in migrating pharmaceutical, Biotech or BioPharma lab equipment systems from Win XP to Win 7
- Outstanding troubleshooting skills and experience supporting non standard SW and HW
- More than 5 years professional IT support for Windows (XP/7)
- Business knowledge
- Chromatography instruments (Empower, Chemstation, Chromeleon)
- Mass specs
- Liquid handlers
- Gene sequences
- Purification systems
- Imaging instruments (Aperion, InCells, microscopes, Biacore)
- Good understanding of Windows security patch management/security vulnerability remediation
- Experience with Altris and Symantec

CONTRACT DETAILS

- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 4 months
- Location: Basel
- Hourly Rate: 110-120 CHF all incl.
