Network Support Technician

My client is urgently requiring an experienced Network Support Technician for a 1 year contract role based in Rhodes Location.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

- Assist with the administration and maintenance of the client's data infrastructure.
- Assist with the implementation of Network equipment upgrades, relocation and refresh.
- Maintain integrity of inventory database (CAMS) for client
- Maintain most current network diagram
- Complete Network Move, Add, Changes, Delete (MACDs)
- Identify/rectify customer problems
- Handle incident ticket to meet SLA (Service level agreement)
- Comply with client's internal process.
- Perform hardware and system implementations.
- Assist with change management process
- Participate in the handover process of new systems and services into Production.
- Perform peer review on other team member's solutions and changes.
- Comply with client's change process
- Coordinate with Carrier to restore service
- Liaise with vendors & client

TO BE SUITABLE FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

- Knowledge of Data Communications Systems.
- Experience in Load Balancing (F5, content switch) and riverbed
- Minimum Cisco CCNA required with at least 2 years hands on experience in a large Cisco network environment.
- Configuration, Implementation, Testing and Problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and time constraints.
- Cisco CCNP would be an advantage.
- Experience managing and configuring Cisco Router/Switches.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and other tools such as Visio.
- Business administration experience.
