Network Support Specialist

Network Support Specialist required for a 1 year contract role with a large organisation based in Sydney's Western Suburbs.

The primary skills we are looking for are: NETWORK GENERALIST - SWITCHING & ROUTING SKILLS, NETWORK SECURITY GENERALIST AND LOAD BALANCER SKILLS

YOU WILL PERFORM A RANGE OF ACTIVITIES FOCUSSED ON:

- Incident Management, Problem Management, Move, Add, Changes (MACs) and Lifecycle Management across a technology suite covering: Cisco Layer 3 Switching, Bluecoat SG Proxies and F5 LTM/GTM.
- Perform hardware and system implementations.
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of the client's data infrastructure.
- Assist with the implementation of Network equipment upgrades, relocation and refresh.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 2 years Bluecoat Proxy experience.
- F5 LTM/GTM experience.
- Switching and Routing experience.
- Detailed knowledge of Data Communications Systems with an emphasis on hands on experience.
- Knowledge of Network methodologies.
- Willing to learn other technologies as required by business to support clients environments.
- Excellent knowledge of Cisco Layer 3 Switches/Routers, and WAN related services.
- Minimum 3 years hands on experience in a large network environment.
- Configuration, Implementation, Testing and Problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and time constraints.
- Team player, motivated with a strong customer focus.
- ITIL Certification

You must be prepared to work outside normal working hours, including rostered standby as team roster and business requirements dictate.
