Network Support Lead - SC Cleared - Plymouth, South West

Network Support Lead - SC Cleared required for a Government client based Plymouth, South West.

Responsibilities: Manage ICT assets efficiently.

Manage the workflow and resources of the team to meet OLA/SLAs targets in line with guidance from the Service Delivery Manager.

Ensure staff comply with policies and procedures.

Ensure cost effective use of Information Systems resources, to include computer hardware, software, training facilities and staff time.

Respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner; Assist in the management of support service contracts with external providers where applicable.

Experience in designing network solutions, internal stakeholder management.
Qualification: CCNP

Desirable:
Qualification: CCIE, CISSP.

Essential: Ability to design and document network management solutions CCNP qualified or equivalent on-job experience

Desirable: CCIE Security/CISSP qualified, especially with experience in a Government Security environment.

Design of network solutions to meet customer requirements Analysis of proposed changes to assess impact on current infrastructure Proactive Network Maintenance as part of a small team Network Performance Management Planning of remedial maintenance activity Daily monitoring, alerting and fault rectification.

Ability to design and document network management solutions - Networking technologies (LAN/WAN) - Networking performance tools - Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, Telnet, SNMP, RPC, SIP, MPLS etc).

Routing and switching Desirable:-
Multi-vendor security and Firewall configuration, monitoring and patching - Understanding of CISCO MDS infrastructure and FCIP Communications - OSPF skills - Nexus 5000 and 7000 - Catalyst 6500 - MDS.
