Network Support Engineer - Rolling Contract

- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- The Network Operations Engineer (NOE) will work on Incidents, Service Requests, Maintenance, and Projects (Office Turn-ups, Meraki/Aruba turn-ups) relevant to supporting Client Enterprise Network Infrastructure.
- As part of the Network Operations Team, the NOE will remotely support and actively monitor EMEA office locations
- The NOE will have primary responsibilities to resolve internal consumer incidents, execute requests, and conduct maintenance tracked by an in-house TASK management system.
- The NOE will aim to reduce TASK incident patterns and report back to engineering with recommendations and or solutions when possible.
- In addition, you will perform network administration activities and escalations from the (L1) service desk and other internal organizations within the enterprise environment.
- On-call support.
- Occasional travel within EMEA to other Uber offices when needed
- TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will also be responsible for supporting a range of technologies including: Cisco Routingresponding to requests, and notifying other teams of network problems and business impacts
- Performing root cause analysis, routine implementations and network configurations
- Performance monitoring and management, interpretation of incident and reporting
- Use Layer 2 Cisco's switching platform knowledge (eg system architecture, switching and forwarding issues)
- Suggest modifications to processes and procedures that enable efficiency and effectiveness to troubleshooting techniques
- Configuration and troubleshooting of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
