Network Support Engineer - L2/L3 Protocols, Linux/Unix -Bristol- £30k - £40k

A great opportunity has arisen for a telecoms company based inBristolas a Network Engineer. This fast growing global telecoms/networking provider is offering an opportunity to an enthusiastic individual who want to be part of a global networks team.

As a Network Support Engineer your role will involve working with a new and growing network support team providing 2nd and 3rd line support to a range of network products. You will deal with customer issues and ensure all technical issues are resolved in a timely manner. Any escalations if not resolved will be forwarded to development teams ensuring you are supporting them to resolve and deliver customer solutions.

Technical skills required:

- Experience in 2nd and 3rd line support, exposure in a network support environment
- Experience with layer 2 (L2) and layer 3 (L3) protocols, STP, LACP, IGMP
- Advanced troubleshooting experience, 3rd line and 4th line customer support
- Experience with Linux/Unix Operating Systems
- Experience working with customers, providing resolution to ticketing systems
- Good communication skills
