Network Support Analyst

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Conduct network systems health checks and performance analysis in order to track emerging trends or existing problems across multiple data centres and 800+ WAN sites.
- Provide Senior Subject Matter Expertise in Cisco Data Communications Technologies and Perimeter security including F5, Juniper, Checkpoint, Ironport
- Client support (internal and external)
- Provision of technical supervision of operational support tasks and assistance to the Team Leader, both scheduled and as required.
- Problem and critical incident management, inside and outside of business hours.
- Planning and implementation of scheduled maintenance work.
- Development and maintenance of technical documentation.
- Design and review of support processes internal to the team.
- Data Gathering, KPI and technical reporting.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

- Qualification as CCNP or CCNA in Routing & Switching and/or Data Centre
- Extensive experience with large IP data networks in diverse technical and business environments.
- Extensive experience with communications hardware and tools networks (ie spanning tree, VLANS, trunking) and Cisco Hardware (ie NEXUS, 7206, 3560 & CSS) Checkpoint and Netscreen (Juniper) Firewalls, F5 BIG IP & QOS.
- Extensive experience with fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience in development and maintenance of technical documentation.
