Network Specialist (WAN, LAN, WLAN etc.) - Contract, Zurich

For a major client of ours in Zurich, Swisslinx is searching for a Network Specialist for a long term contract.

The role will involve acting as Subject Matter Expert, offering expert in-house consultancy and assuming responsibility for supplier/vendor design submission, implementation and deployment in accordance with internal best practices and requirements. Responsibilities will also involve assistance with network design, high level support, and network infrastructure guidance.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience/knowledge:

- A proven successful 5+ years of network engineering
- Experience acting as SME in large multi-national corporate organisations
- Expert knowledge of at least three of the following:
- WAN
- LAN
- WLAN
- VPN
- Firewalling
- Web Filtering
- Network Security
- Outstanding communication skills in English
- Ability to direct, liaise with and negotiatie with a variety of external vendors and suppliers
- A strong analytical way of thinking
