Network Solution Designer

My client a leading IT services and solutions provider are seeking to recruit a Network Solution Designer and you will bring the below skill set:

The need is for an experience Network Solution Designer with the ability to provide clear technical and commercial input and direction at Senior level and to identify new and disruptive technologies that drive the development of the Network platform

The Opportunity

Produce detailed platform specific solutions ensuring they accommodate Product, Technical strategies and Architecture roadmap requirements
Produce detailed application level configuration specifications
Produce detailed functional and non-functional specifications based on specific project related business requirements and architectural guidelines
Ensure that all relevant guidelines have been adhered to by the team in producing project and product/technical design documentation
Ensure that the designs produced are delivered, tested and deployed as designed.
Review designs and proposals to ensure conformance to current practice and quality of work being generated
Represent team in key interface group meetings to review process and progress on a regular basis. Key groups include Business Transformation Group, Validation, Technical Delivery, Network Operations etc.
Contribute to the production of Technical roadmaps for areas of specific focus. Ensure the roadmaps are up to date and fed into the relevant roadmap owners. Actively review roadmap impact on resources, planning workloads and task allocations
Provide regular reporting to senior management on progress and issues within their areas of responsibility as well as 'ad hoc' reports, papers and presentations as required by the business
Identify, develop and manage processes within their areas of responsibility and interaction in order to effectively deliver the work of the team

The Person

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent or be able to demonstrate similar ability from industrial experience
Technical experience in the platforms supported
Extensive IT Development and/or Architecture experience
Extensive experience in documenting systems designs
Extensive experience in developing functional specifications
